Dear Friends
It was good to be able to attend the Friends of St Nicholas AGM on Sunday evening and to say ‘Thank You’ to Francis and the whole committee for all their support over the past twelve months. Without their support there would simply have been no Development Campaign. The Friends have enable so much of our vision to be realised. I am immensely grateful for their support.
One of the most important things we can do for others as Christian brothers and sisters is pray. Holding others before God, in sorrow and in joy, in life and in death. Prayer is a particular ministry shared by the whole Household of God and to this end I has asked a few people to help me develop a training course designed to equip people to offer this particular ministry. You do not need to be the best Christian, you do not need to be perfect, all you need to be able to do is listen, empathise and to be willing to offer the other up in prayer. Obviously your conversations will be completely confidential. If you feel able to join me and the rest of the clergy in offering this ministry, please join us on Tuesday 30th May starting at 7.30pm and lasting till 9pm. Don’t worry about an evening meal we will provide the food.
With my prayers
Simon
