Well the Children’s Church Nativity on Sunday morning was beyond brilliant! Huge thanks to everyone who worked so hard to put it on especially Hilary and her team. And thanks to all who helped with costumes and props and all who made food for afterwards. And not least a very big WELL DONE to all the children who had rehearsed so hard and had gone to so much effort to learn their lines and their parts. If Craig Revel-Horwood would have been present with us on Sunday morning he would have said “Fabuloso darling – I loved it!” One of our more senior members who has been coming to church for a very long time told me afterwards that she thought it was the best nativity she had ever seen at St Nick’s – high praise!
We are in for a fun evening on Thursday this week as we set off Carol Singing up and down Chiswick Mall. We will gather in the George & Devonshire at 7.00pm with the aim of leaving at 7.15pm. If you want to come but can’t make this time you can catch up with us on the Mall. It is not impossible that we will have a couple of mince pie and mulled wine pit stops along the way – do join us if you can.
And this Sunday evening don’t forget our wonderful traditional service of Nine Lessons & Carols at 6.00pm.
I hope your preparations for Christmas are going well. If you are feeling frazzled, stressed out and your credit card is screaming out in pain then you could do with a smile. I came across this list of genuine Church notices and misprints this week; I hope one of them might bring a smile to your lips….
“The Fasting & Prayer Conference includes meals”
“Ladies, Don’t forget the jumble sale on Saturday. It’s a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands”
