One advantage of our present situation is that we cannot attend training events in person, and have to rely on Zoom conferences instead. This has the advantage of not needing to travel, I have to say, that sadly, this new medium doesn’t always make the content of these training sessions any more exciting!
I have just attended a diocesan training seminar on the Government’s new marriage legislation, which is due to be implemented on the 1 May 2021. Sadly the government has not seen fit to either contact clergy with the new guidelines, or indeed inform them that there is going to be a change in the law at all. I foresee some chaos on the horizon!
As a parish we are doing our bit, not to drive you mad – I hope, but to provide opportunities to worship, study and meet online.
If you have not joined us yet please consider doing so, all the links you need are available in this e-bulletin. In the next couple of weeks I will be sharing with you how we plan to open the church once again for public worship and we hope some social activities -please watch this space.
I continue to pray that you all remain safe and well.
